Lake Clean-Up 2010 The North Metro Chapter will be cleaning up the ice on Lake Independence and Bald Eagle Lake. Weather and ice conditions permitting, this will take place on March 20th and we looking at starting around 9am, this usually only takes a couple of hours. We are looking for volunteers to help keep a couple of the lakes that so many North Metro Members utilize, both summer and winter. Volunteers don’t truly need anything special, but some with ATVs or snowmobiles would be helpful. We would like to get enough people to split into 2 groups, 1 group on each lake so we don’t have to drive across the cities. If you are able to help on either lake please give either Mark Knabe or Chris Dolan a call. Mark is coordinating the Bald Eagle effort and Chris is working on the Lake Independence effort. You can contact Mark at (651) 829-0149, and Chris at (763) 537-4664. We may have a Boy Scout Troop helping out at one of the lakes, if you have a troop that would like to help out, give Chris or Mark a call. We are also working on a lunch lakeside afterwards.
