North Metro Chapter of Muskies, Inc. League Night

COVID-19 Update

Any Member that participates agrees by their participation to abide by all government COVID-19 rules, recommendations, guidance and social distancing; and to the Release of Liability contained herein and hold the North Metro Chapter of Muskies, Inc. and Muskies, Inc. harmless from all liability and waive any and all future claims against for their participation; and agrees that release applies to any and all risk of contracting, or exposure to, the Covid-19 Coronavirus, by contact with, or proximity to, other persons, locations, equipment, or facilities encountered during the course of travel to, participation in, and returning home from this event, whether such persons are also participants or otherwise.

“Subject to all proper COVID-19 precautions as directed by government health officials.  Protect yourself and others as directed and as you feel necessary”.

 

League Nights are intended as an opportunity to engage, retain and recruit both existing and new as well as prospective members and educate them and our Youth on the issues affecting all fisheries.

 

New this year we have formally added a lake clean up component to League Nights. We will have a small League Lake Clean Up Contest with some prizes to recongize this important effort.  (More details to follow)  We ask that you take the opportunity to clean up the launch, shoreline and on the water that you are fishing on that evening.  Please send in photos of your clean up efforts and the name of the lake cleaned.  

 

This is an ON YOUR HONOR based league. A photo of any fish counted is preferred but not mandatory. Participants must report back within 48 hours after fishing an event at league@nmmuskies.com.

 

Cost = FREE

 

Please include your name, the Lake, any muskies caught, your partner & if they're a new member, Jr member or a member of the Twin Cities chapter.

COVID-19 protections during all interactions between Members and partners is highly encouraged!

 

Scoring

     3 points for fishing a league event
     2 points for a partner

    10 points for a 30” Muskie 1 point for each inch over 30” scored to the nearest half inch. (i.e. 40.5” = 20.5 points).

 BONUS 5 points if the partner is:
1) a new member of the chapter
2) a Junior member
3) a member of the T.C. chapter during chapter challunge.


Max of 10 points if you do not catch a fish. You can only count 1 partner for each event and each partner counts only 1 time.

Points will also be awarded (separately) for lake cleanup! Will have prize for most cleanup at December general meeting.

1st place Traveling Trophy
The Awards will be held during the December membership meeting.

Participation Drawing!

For each League event a North Metro Member participates they will get one raffle ticket in the end of season drawing held at the December membership meeting for a grand prize. For example if you fished 5 nights, you get 5 chances. Non-members are always welcome to our league nights and picnic but only count for the 2 partner points.

Drawing Prizes:

Grand Prize - St Croix Tournament Legend 10 ft “Blade Master” rod
Drawing for Various other prizes 5 names drawn in total from all the league nights fished entries - Must be present to win.

Note: August league nights are Tuesdays 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Chapter challunge will be held on Forest Lake only. East metro leaguers will have spots available in their boats to ease the burden on TC and Polk folks. This will be an enjoyable event - I encourage you all to participate!

NMMI meetings are free and open to the everyone! Please join us and learn more about our chapter and membership benefits.

Please join us at our general meetings the 3rd Tuesday of each month (October through May). We provide guest speakers at every meeting to speak on various topics, from local metro area tactics to the basics of reel cleaning to updates from the MN DNR. You DO NOT need to be a member to attend our general meetings as we welcome everyone to attend.
